4 TIPS FOR GETTING FIT AFTER BABY

Your body goes through many changes when you have a baby. From hormonal fluctuations to alterations in your skins appearance, its a lot to deal with all at once. You may not feel or look the same after giving birth, but you can learn to love your body by creating a new mindset and adopting healthy habits.

1. ADJUST YOUR FITNESS ROUTINE

Whatever your schedule was like before you had a baby is going to change. Now that you’re a mother you will experience more stress, sleepless nights, stretch marks and less time for the gym. All of that doesn’t mean you can’t get back to your pre-pregnancy shape, you just need to adjust your expectations and your schedule.

First, when it comes to your exercise routine you need to work within the time you have available to you.I suggest two things: focus on HIIT workouts (High Intensity Interval Training) and find workouts you can do in your down time at home.A good HIIT workout can help you burn hundreds of calories in just 15 minutes. You can do a HIIT workout 2 to 3 times per week but because they are so intense you’ll need to take recovery dates in between.

On your in between days you can do gentle workouts like walking, yoga or even some light workouts with fitness bands. The great thing about fitness bands are that all the equipment you need comes in a small bag. This means you don’t have to worry about finding time to go to the gym, you can workout at home or wherever you find yourself with a few minutes!

2. RE-ORGANIZEYOUR CLOSET

Are your “skinny clothes” hidden at the back of the closest where you never see them? Try moving a few pieces up front as a daily reminder of what you’re working for.

There’s no reason you can’t fit back into your old pre-pregnancy clothing as long as you stay motivated. There may be days where seeing those clothes frustrates you, but don’t let them get you down. Instead use them as inspiration for your next workout.

3. REMEMBER YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR DIET

Having a baby can make your world feel chaotic. Stress can lead to poor eating decisions, but remember you don’t have to give in to the stress.

You are a strong woman who just had a baby, you can do anything! You can definitelymake healthy eating choices.
