Are you wondering how you can tighten up your skin as a new mom? No worries! I have some all natural tips that you can start following today to help you tighten and firm up!
1. MAKE EXERCISE A PRIORITY
One of the most effective ways to tighten your skin up after pregnancy (or any major weight loss) is to get started on a good fitnessroutine.
You’ll want to focus on exercises that can tighten and tone your core like planks and crunches. Check out my post on At Home Workouts and 3 Workout Videos to Help You Look Great and Feel Fabulous for exercise ideas you can do anytime and anywhere – no expensive gym membership needed!
I would suggest working out at least three times per week to get started, and make sure you stick to your schedule. Remember that cardio will help you lose weight, but adding in strength training exercises is what will really help you tone up (my workout posts will give you plenty of exercise ideas!).
I know being a new mom means your schedule is very busy, but this is an important thing to do for yourself.You will also set a great example for your family by showing them that being healthy is a priority.
2. EAT LEAN PROTEIN
Your new workout routine that incorporates strength training will help you tone up and build lean muscle (don’t worry you won’t get bulky, I promise). Along with yournew workout routine you’ll want to eat lots of lean protein because it helps build muscle.
In addition, eating lean protein will leave you feeling full for longer. I recommend chicken, fish and lean red meats like bison.

3. KEEP YOUR SKIN HYDRATED
One way to improve the tightness and elasticity of your skin is to keep it hydrated by drinking lots of water. While you’re packing your baby’s bottle also pack a water bottle for yourself and bring it with you everywhere to sip on.
Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning when you wake up (along with your coffee or tea), eat lots of fresh fruits which have high water content, and of course be sure to stay hydrated during and after your workouts.
Well hydrated skin is firmer and has more elasticity! This is an easy tip that will really help!
4. USE A SKIN SMOOTHING LOTION
In addition to drinking water and eating fruit, you can further improve your skin’s hydration with lotions.
