5 TIPS FOR BETTER ALL-DAY ENERGY

5 TIPS FOR BETTER ALL-DAY ENERGY

Do you struggle to drag yourself out of bed in the morning or find that youre drooping at your desk in the middle of the afternoon? Out of energy before you can make it to the gym?

Break through the slump and boost your energy with these basic lifestyle changes!

EAT FOR ENERGY

Greasy, sugary, refined and otherwise nutrient-poor foods rob your body of the nutrients it uses to produce energy.

Eating unrefined carbohydrates, lean proteins and whole fats, however, replenishes vitamins and minerals while giving you an infusion of antioxidants to cool any inflammation that might be tying up your immune system and slowing you down.

Start with a balanced breakfast every day, and eat at regular intervals to keep your blood sugar stable. Have a stash of nutritious snacks like vegetables and hummus or nuts and dried fruit on hand to stave off hunger if you start to flag between meals.

If you struggle with cravings and depleted energy then take two tabs of Trim-V with your breakfast every day! Trim-V contains nootropics which stimulate the neurotransmitters in your brain to stop your cravings, and they also contain caffeine to give you sustained energy throughout the day!

TAKE A BREAK

Working at a desk all day can make you feel slow in the afternoon even if your other habits are healthy.

When you hit a point where you cant concentrate or are struggling to make it through simple tasks, get up and move.

Walk around a bit, or do a quick round of cubicle exercises and stretches. This gets your blood moving, helps your mind to refocus and increases productivity.

SWEAT IT OUT

Although you expend a lot of effort during exercise, its effects on the body wind up giving you more energy overall.

Strength training promotes the development of lean muscle mass for a higher metabolism, cardio increases the efficiency of your heart and yoga and Pilates help you to become more flexible.

A balance of all types of training releases endorphins and reduces stress hormones, making you feel happier and more ready to face the day.

ENJOY THE FRESH AIR

Whenever you can, take your walks or exercise routines outdoors. Your mother wasnt just repeating an old wives tale when she told you that fresh air and sunshine was good for you.

This important combination increases vitamin D production, which in turn may improve your mood. It certainly doesnt hurt to get out of the confines of your home or office and breathe air that hasnt been continuously recirculated.

GET ENOUGH SLEEP

Its generally recommended that adults get seven to eight hours of good-quality sleep per night to maintain energy and health. To hit that goal, establish a consistent routine with a set bedtime.

Disengage from TV, computers and smartphones well before turning in. Do something relaxing instead, such as reading a book or practicing deep breathing. Plan to get up at the same time every morning to support a balanced circadian rhythm.

If you try these tactics and still cant seem to shake your fatigue, talk with your doctor. Nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances and thyroid problems are all potential culprits for an ongoing lack of energy. In most cases, however, adopting better lifestyle habits should help you power through every day without losing your momentum.
