7 Tips to Get an Hourglass Shape After the Holidays

Hey V-Babes I think it’s safe to say we all love the curves on our bodies and I’m not just talking about the smiles on our pretty faces.

During the holidays, we are doing a lot of eating and drinking, myself included! And some of us may want that hourglass figure, especially after the holidays.

I’ve compiled a list of tips that can help with that, every minute counts.

Tip #1 The Perfect Fit

We all have that 1 pair of jeans that makes us feel super happy and assures us we have lost weight! Pull this pair of jeans out at the beginning of January and make it a goal to fit into them by the end of the month.

If you don’t own a pair of jeans like these then purchase an outfit you’ve been looking forward to wearing that you don’t feel like you can fit into right now.

Think of somewhere you would like to wear it to such as a hot new restaurant, bar or club and make a reservation for the weekend of February 3-4 with one of your besties to celebrate your post-holiday weight loss!

Having something to look forward to is the best motivation to get things done!

Tip #2 Sweet Dreams

Make sure you get your beauty rest. Getting 7-8 hours of sleep is extremely important for your physical and mental health.

It’s also a way to lose weight because if you get enough sleep, your fat-burning enzymes will function optimally, so you’ll be able to burn fat while you’re asleep.

Tip #3 HIIT It

Add some high-intensity interval training (HIIT), squats, lunges, and fire hydrants to your workout routine. You should also try a 30x 30 challenge.

For 30 days put a timer to workout for 30 mins.

Let's be honest, you can spare 30 minutes in the morning, before bed or even during your lunch break.

Put a different  30 minute HIIT workout on YouTube and do your thing.

Tip #4  Shrink Your Stomach  

Did you know that your stomach is “elastic”? Meaning it can shrink or enlarge based on the amount of food you consume. 

This is one of the major reasons for failure of weight loss surgery, as even a surgically created tiny stomach can adapt over time to accommodate larger amounts of food.

Scary, huh? 

Well, the opposite is also true. If you eat less, over time, your stomach will shrink to feel fuller on smaller amounts of food, making you eat less calories, and keep weight off.

Try it.

While eating at home or out at a local restaurant, take 1/3 off your plate or start with intermittent fasting from 12-16 hours then slowly but surely increase to 17,18, and even 19.

Remember you can skip breakfast, lunch or dinner and it will still be considered fasting! You choose your window!

Hint hint: use a V-Belt while eating to feel fuller faster!

Tip #5 Meals

Your 2 new lunch and dinner dates are small plates and water with lemon!

Drink water with lemon all day. It adds a flavor to bland water while at the same time decreasing the feeling of being bloated.

Also, find a small to medium size plate and always use the same one! Serve yourself once and what you see is what you get. There isn't any room for seconds.
